You can do some harmonic analysis with this Bach Chorale: ach bleib bei uns herr jesu christ
Repertoire
Mozart Sonata in C K545: use this sheet for reference Mozart K545
- learn hands separately with counting
- treat all trills like 16th notes for now (we will discuss how to play them next time, so feel free to not trill at all this week
- this edition does not have fingerings, which I prefer to figure out our own
Satie Gymnopedie No. 1 sheet music: Gymnopedie – annotated
- Continue working hands separately
- be aware of how long it takes for you to jump up on LH to find the chord, and use that as your timing. Finding the lower notes happens faster than finding the upper chord. Saying “1-2-3”, even if it’s uneven will prevent this from becoming uneven to your ears
- Also play LH chords only, leaving out bottom note until easy (work 4 measures at a time like this), then add back in
