- Remember your “$100 tempo”
Venetian Boat Song – Mendelssohn
- Watch Dr. Gebrian’s video on how she does the interleaved clicking up to speed up passages: https://youtu.be/75OWZAq-O4U?si=yuVB7B4dtzrg_ElvĀ
- Make a copy of my ICU tab on this tracker: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1DmE5yqK0DjRwNVxF8v5HgyEEOvpUFJz_/edit?usp=sharing&ouid=100135542131725547483&rtpof=true&sd=true
- You can change the first metronome marking in Step 1 to whatever you feel is good (around 80 if we are counting the individual 8th notes), and stop when you get to 120 bpm.
- Do ICU only for passages that you feel you know well enough and are ready to increase in tempo
- If you get confused or have a hard time with this, we can discuss it further next time
- You can also work on mental practice by listening to a professional recording and imagine yourself playing it as they do
