Rhythm

  • Do 5-Part Lap Map, making up your own rhythms. You can look at the Longy rhythms and choose ones you see there to try
  • Then do 5-Part rhythm the “old” way
  • stop if you make a mistake and figure out what the mistake was and which of the 3 causes of error it was

Scales, Chords, and Technique

Play D Major Scale and Chords

  • keep practicing hands together

Technique:

  • Learn p. 12-17
  • use 3-10-3 for Winter Wind

Theory

Do p. 10-17 (it’s a lot, so do whatever you have time for)

  • Learn Fairy Tale, focus on the first 4 measures in the LH, but do RH also
  • use 3-10-3 and counting out loud
  • look for the pattern in the LH by playing beats 1 and 2 as a chord, and 3 and 4 as another chord (play all the notes at once)
