C major scale and arpeggios – hands together

• do 1 8va as quarter notes (up and down) then right onto 2 8vas in 8ths
• remember to keep the wrist still and have an ergonomic angle to the arm
• go on to G major when easy

• Play through hands separately focusing on detached 8ths as we talked about, then play together
• any parts where you find the detached 8ths difficult, practice that measure or portion of a measure extra
• m. 13 first half of the measure needs repetition/cycling to get used to that. Only go to the 2nd half of measure when you feel comfortable with first half. Also cycling beat 3 in m. 21
• Work on bringing out the 16th note subject and minimizing 8th note counter subject
