Rhythm
- Do 5-Part Lap Map, making up your own rhythms. You can look at the Longy rhythms and choose ones you see there to try
- Then do 5-Part rhythm the “old” way
- stop if you make a mistake and figure out what the mistake was and which of the 3 causes of error it was
Scales, Chords, and Technique
Play D Major Scale and Chords
- hands separately looking at the keys, put hands together when easy
- remember all F’s and C’s are sharped
- use the same fingering as C major scale
Learn Malagueña p. 32-33
- write in counting and count out loud for the first few times you play
- do 3-10-3 to learn this

Do p. 36-39
Lessons
Keep practicing Sword Dance p. 50-51
Learn Jazz Blast p. 54 (also do p. 55)
- Count out loud
- Use the 3-10-3 method: Play a very small segment (1-2 measures) 3 times in a row, wait 10 seconds, then repeat another 3 times. Continue this until you’ve completed the whole piece
- The next day, play the piece start to finish to see how it goes. Repeat 3-10-3 wherever it’s needed.
- Do 3-10-3 for only one piece per day when first learning it

Performance
Learn Snow Fort Hideout (Secondo and Primo parts) p. 26-27 – if you have time, learn Horseman p. 28-29
- write in counting and count out loud for the first few times you work on this
- do 3-10-3 to learn them
- add dynamics
