C major scale and arpeggios – hands together

  • do 1 8va as quarter notes (up and down) then right onto 2 8vas in 8ths
  • remember to keep the wrist still and have an ergonomic angle to the arm
  • go on to G major when easy

  • m. 11, 18-21 practice arpeggios with the 3 Staccatos, then play legato but making sure you have good gestures and not keeping the hand open (think small hand)
  • M. 22-23 appoggiaturas should be played as 16th notes on the beat with the LH
  • continue hands separately in the development

  •  M. 9-12, just play RH F# once as a quarter note, and then let the LH play as written, pedaling once per measure on beat 1
