Technique/Scales

Cb major scale (two 8va), chords, arpeggios (two 8va) – hands separately, then together.

Ploger: 6-Part Lap Map p. 68 improv and 6-part Longy Rhythm (separately)

  • Try to keep going if you make a mistake – identify the cause of error, and apply the correct cure in time

Solfege:

  • review solfege by using keyboard drawing and improvising solfege melodies, only stepwise motion up and down
  • sing and play the exercises – one per day: Solfege p 7

Theory/Sightreading

  • Theory – RCM Unit 1 in Book 5
  • Sight Reading 4B Unit 14

Repertoire

Hanson Enchantment

  • Try memorizing using the Sacred Four steps. Work one page at a time like this, and then focus on sections or passages that aren’t quite memorized

Bach Little Prelude in C

  • Continue hand separately slowly
  • LH mordents do very slowly using fingering 2-3-1

Sonatina in G major – Atwood

  • Work on the B section, giving emphasis to beats 1 and 3 in RH to help anchor you in the running 8th notes
  • keep tempo slower for now
