C major scale and arpeggios – hands together

• do 1 8va as quarter notes (up and down) then right onto 2 8vas in 8ths
• remember to keep the wrist still and have an ergonomic angle to the arm
• go on to G major when easy

• Take some time to talk yourself through any measures that are difficult to see if you understand what you are supposed to play
• play through the erasure 3 times in a row without mistakes – you can go under tempo for this. Then wait 10 seconds and do another 3 times in a row.

• Work on the “cantabile” style playing, by paying attention to certain notes that are important and either speeding up towards them or lingering on them, etc. The goal is to not be metronomic with it, but we want to keep a sense of flow and create movement
