• Do 5-Part Lap Map, making up your own rhythms. You can look at the Longy rhythms and choose ones you see there to try

• Then do 5-Part rhythm the “old” way
• stop if you make a mistake and figure out what the mistake was and which of the 3 causes of error it was

Work on Eb Major scale, one hand at a time, then together

• it’s good to look at your hands
• figure out first where your black keys are, then try playing the scale

Technique:

• Learn p. 12-17
• use 3-10-3 for Winter Wind

Do p. 10-17 (it’s a lot, so do whatever you have time for)

Learn Two Spirituals p. 32-33

• play the chords on the top of page 32 first to get used to the I V7 chords
• count out loud, but try to count in your head as it gets easier
• do 3-10-3 to learn these

Keep practicing Theme by Haydn p. 12-13

• use 3-10-3 to learn
• write in counting and count out loud

Fairy Tale

• m. 17-18, 19-20, 21-22, 23-24, 33-34, 35-end work these measures on 3-10-3 for the next 2 days, then do another play through of the whole piece
• when working more on the first page, focus on musicality: dynamics, pedal, bringing out the RH and having the LH be much softer
