C major scale and arpeggios – hands together
- do 1 8va as quarter notes (up and down) then right onto 2 8vas in 8ths
- remember to keep the wrist still and have an ergonomic angle to the arm
- go on to G major when easy

You can do some harmonic analysis with this Bach Chorale: ach bleib bei uns herr jesu christ
Repertoire
Bach Invention No. 1 in C major
- Continue HS throughout, then HT. Cycle wherever you find yourself making a mistake until you can play a few times without mistake, then move on
- work on anywhere you either spread your hand out or condense it (usually crossing over/under spots), or anywhere you are shifting your position outside of a 5 finger scale pattern. Practice outside of time putting a little separation as you shift your hand over keeping it neutral. Then work it up a bit faster and just minimize the separation until it’s legato, but not exaggerated legato where the hand is held in non-neutral position for long
Chopin Prelude Op 28 No 6
- RH alone: Work on pressing down all fingers as you repeat the figure on beat 1 m. 1 , lift and press finger 5 while keeping the rest pressing keys down. Think of tilted hand more to the right rather than lifting/pressing pinkie alone
- Then try playing as written. if fingers 3-4 jump up, give them a moment to rest down touching the keys before playing the next note
- see Bach comments for notes on neutral hand position
