- improvise rhythms as you tap on the beats
- try not to look at your lap as you do this, but look at the picture and imagine that’s your lap

- watch out for skip in LH
- move up the octave in m. 10
- remember BOTH notes are staccato, not just the first
Sacred Music Competition Music
Mystic Flute:
- Count Out Loud for the whole thing! This is important to keep a steady beat
- remember to go up the octave for m. 18
- lift the pedal like we talked about for the end
Saturday Surfers:
- watch out for the crescendos – which means gradually get louder – m. 16 and m. 32
- keep clawing at the keys – especially the pinky
- watch out for the rests
- make your fortes aggressive!
