Performance

We’re going to focus on competition music for now. If you have time once you return you can do pieces from the books

Beethoven Ecossaise:

  • Put hands together for whole piece
  • go slowly to make sure you are playing the correct notes and rhythms
  • don’t sit too close to the piano
  • be careful of the notes in m. 13 and 14

  • since the 8th notes are swung, listen to recording to help you hear rhythm (he plays the whole piece about halfway through the video: https://youtu.be/k_2dq72zk7k
  • Put hands together throughout
  • do hands separate m. 9-16, especially working on memorizing LH notes

  • dont pause in between hands
