Performance

British Grenadiers: Learn Primo part

  • count out loud (but you don’t have to write in counting if you do it right)

Learn Banana Boat and Classic Sonatina – first movement  p. 34-35

  • count out loud

Rock the Halls (3 separate sheets) – Do 10 minutes or less on each of these areas, no more than 3 per day. Only play straight through the piece on Friday and Monday (no focused practice):

  • m.12 LH C-B
  • m. 13-14 work on the rhythm
  • m. 17-18 count out loud to get the proper rhythm
  • m. 23-29 LH alone, bounce wrist on repeated notes, and make other notes legato, work it up to speed gradually, adding RH only when you’ve done focused work below
  • RH slowly m. 27- 29 – check your notes here, use the fingering I wrote in
  • m. 45 RH doesn’t go down to Middle C – practice this ending slowly until easy, then gradually speed up
