Repertoire/Pieces
Sonatina in C by Kuhlau –
- do 2 measures of 3-10-3, and then another 2 measures of 3-10-3, then go back and play from the beginning until the place where you ended. Do this every day. You should be able to get through m. 35 by your next lesson
- count out loud to begin with
- go slow enough that you can do each repetition correctly. You may need to work hands separately
Prelude in C Minor by Bach –
- continue learning 2 measures at a time using 3-10-3: Play the section 3 times in a row, then wait 10 seconds, and play it another 3 times, then move on to the next section and do the same
- hold LH quarter notes for full beat (the first 3 16th notes in RH)
- write in the chord being outlined if you are struggling with the reading
