Repertoire
Minuet in G p. 6
- Try memorizing this. These are the measures that will need some work (they usually are rhythmic errors): m. 7-8, 12, 15-16, 22-23, 31-32
Clementi Sonatina p. 16-17
- Work hands together for the rest of the piece with counting out loud. Notice anywhere you stop counting is a place where you have the incorrect rhythm. Slow it down and figure out that part
Tarantelle p. 34-35
- gradually speed up, but don’t go faster than you can do with good hand posture
- finger 5 seems to still want to flatten out. Might have to trim the nail on this on further, but also make sure it is always curved
Christmas
We Wish and O Come –
- Practice m. 9-16 extra with counting
- don’t look at your hands!!
- look for similarities in other parts you’ve played
Do You Hear What I Hear
- Work making the LH softer
- work on pedaling the individual chords to make them legato
Rock the Halls
- review this, add the notes we crossed out since your hands are bigger now
- m. 14 and after needs more work (avoid the first page) – go very slowly
