Work through Unit 1:

  • use the QR codes to play along once you’ve learned how to play the piece, but don’t listen to it in advance
  • try to remember to keep fingers curved as you play
  • Use the 3-10-3 Method below for learning

3-10-3 Method

1. Choose a short segment to work on of 3-5 notes
2. Play that segment 3 times in a row. If you make a mistake, you start over until you have 3 correct plays in a row
3. Break for about 10 seconds
4. Play the segment again 3 times in a row
5. Repeat steps 1-4 until the entire piece is learned. You may play through it start to finish after that and on subsequent days
