Performance
We’re going to focus on competition music for now. If you have time once you return you can do pieces from the books
Beethoven Ecossaise:
- Do cycling, 2 measures at a time, go slowly if you make any mistakes or have hesitations.
- Also practice putting in pauses right before you have a place of hesitation, allowing yourself to take as much time as you need to get ready before moving
Thursday: review m. 1-2, spend 10 minutes on m.3-4 with the above instructions, 10 minutes on m. 7-8, then 10 minutes on m. 9-10
Friday: spend 10 minutes on m. 13-14, 10 minutes playing through the whole thing to see what other measures need more work, then use up the next 10 minutes to work on those measures
Saturday: play through with repeats, work on any measures that need extra work 10 minutes at a time, three times total
Sunday: play through 3 times
Monday: go through very slowly 3 times (no repeats)
Tuesday: play through 3 times up to tempo, with repeats
