Technique/Scales

  • G major scale and arpeggios (two 8vas) – hands separately, then together. For scales, pause at each place where you cross under/over to make sure the correct hand goes first: rh on ascending, lh on descending
  • Ploger: 6-Part Lap Map improv and 6-part Longy Rhythm (separately)

  • Sight Reading 1B: finish up the extra exercises at the end

  • Start at the last line m. 35-end and work on this first thing
  • play in small chunks like we did in the lesson. Try to figure out the hand positions for the last 2 measures as well
  • you can practice these runs backwards
  • continue hands together work for the rest of the piece

  • Work on addressing the 3 causes of error while you’re playing this
