Reaction

Symptom: something takes you by surprise

Solution: accept whatever it is as a part of the performance, and get back into Eagle Vision

Anticipation

Symptom: 1. Daydreaming or 2. You are worried about a part you struggled with and don’t trust yourself to play it well. You get into Chicken Vision

Solution: Focus on how the music feels or sounds or how the notes look, and get back into Eagle Vision

Looking Back

Symptom: You have the Bad Coach talking to you and getting in the way of what you’re trying to do. You feel pulled backward in the music to replay what you just played

Solution: Tell Coach to “Get out of the pool!” And get back into Eagle Vision
