Piano Adventures

Trumpet Voluntary p. 135

  • work on the last line extra – there are a couple of things causing a reaction here, so try splitting the line up into two phrases and practice them until easy, then put together into one phrase

Can-Can

  • write in counting – no need for ‘ands’ since no 8th notes
  • count out loud as you play, even if it’s slow and uneven – trust the process

Ice Skaters

  • write in counting with ands
  • count out loud – you can work this in a couple of measures at a time to make it easier
