Rhythm – DO THIS EVERY DAY FIRST
5-part rhythm:
- Do 5-Part Lap Map, making up your own rhythms
- Then do Longy Rhythm (no Lap Map): tap on beat 1, sing on numbers, whisper on dots. Try taking a breath on the dots to help
- Pay attention to which cause of error happens when you make a mistake and apply the cure
- Reaction: something new takes you by surprise. Cure: Eagle vision
- Anticipation: this can be daydreaming, or getting worried about a difficult part coming up. Cure: Eagle vision, get back into feeling your tapping, hearing your singing/whispering
- Looking Back: You look back to a mistake you just made and start talking to yourself about it. Cure: Tell the “bad coach” to stop, and keep moving forward

- play 3 times in a row with counting out loud

- play with counting, but if you make a mistake, don’t keep going, back and play that place correctly 3-4 times before going on
