Repertoire

Fairy Tale

  • work one measure at a time, playing RH as written + LH blocked chords, then play LH as written alone, then put hands together with LH as written, repeat until easier. Spend about 5 minutes per measure. Review the previous measures learned in this manner each day before moving on, and once in a while just play through the whole piece

Gavotte

  • continue hands separate work but put hands together for the rest of the piece
  • for now, play LH legato where possible
  • RH you can add little breaks or breaths at the ends of slurs
  • RH careful 8th notes are still even

Mozart Rondo

  • continue practicing, focusing on keeping the flow going throughout

Wild Mignonette

  • continue practicing – I’ll hear this next time
