D Major scale and chord progression (in the key of D major) – only do this one scale and set of chords – don’t work on other key signatures

• Continue hands together, don’t expect thumbs to play at the same time, but finger 3’s do

Ploger:

• Improvise your own rhythm on 5-part Lap Map
• Practice 5-part Longy rhythm tapping on beat 1 only and whispering on dots. Pay attention to what Causes of Error occur, and try to apply the solution
• Only add Lap Map rhythm to Longy when you can do the above step without mistakes

Theory:

• Go on to Unit 5 at your own pace

• Write in the counting throughout and Tap the LH and RH rhythms while counting out loud
• work through this mentally, trying to visualize the keys you would play for one measure, then “play” it on your fake keyboard as you count out loud. Try to hear how it may sound while you play it
