Sacred Music Competition

Musette

  • work on keeping the fingers curved, and bouncing the wrist down on each 16th note
  • be careful that you lift fingers after playing so notes don’t blur together
  • work m. 17-20 backwards (start from the last 2 notes and play them normal until the end, then go back to the next previous note and play until the end, etc.)
  • Also practice starting from the different starred measure until the end
  • make sure m. 18-20 is the same speed as the rest
  • add dynamics

Morning Prayer (we’ll keep working on this, but not for the competition)

  • keep working hands together
  • tap the rhythm first for m. 17 then try playing it
