Scales

G Major Scale, chords, and arpeggios 2 octaves hands together slowly

  • Curve fingers
  • Have the hand/arm angled outward
  • level wrist (not high and low), and relaxed elbows

Nocturne:

  • pink measures:work on making them as musical as you can. Work on playing async hands (RH comes after LH), and use rubato to help make each phrase expressive
  • blue measures (I think you’ll have one day before your lesson, or it might be on your lesson day): work on rubato for ending, and work on transitions m. 30-31 so there are no pauses

Bach:

  • orange measures: pick only 3-5 notes to work on at a time for 3-10-3 to learn this first page. Play through once hands separately to figure out what your’e doing before playing 3-10-3 hands together for that segment. Make sure you take a break after 10 minutes
  • green measures: when that comes back in rotation, work on hands together only
