  • hands together throughout
  • try to get everything at one tempo, but do this through very slow practice

Etude – Khatchaturian

  • staccato in the beginning as indicated
  • count out loud – this will allow you to learn the proper rhythm and help keep track of the repeated notes, but also it will keep the tempo slower so that the whole thing can be at the same speed
  • m. 13-15 let the RH chords connect to the LH notes after
  • whatever you can do to memorize this will make it easier to play
  • m. 39-48 RH hold the half notes down, and be careful to play C-flat not B-flat
  • m. 67-69 be careful of the LH notes
  • m. 72 has a mistake, the E should be a G
